Greece
Moraitika Village, Corfu – It’s a
modern and very popular tourist resort, in front of a long sandy
sandy beach. Its located 20 kilometers from the town of Corfu.
This village is the birthplace of the first Governor of Greece
Ioannis Kapodistrias. (1776 – 1831) Built on a hill the village
offers an excellent view of the sea.
Gastouri village, Corfu – a scenic
village you’ll find extraordinary architecture in its buildings.
They’re 1,000 permanent residents. It’s one of the most famous
places in Corfu thanks to the Palace of Achilleion, constructed
in the early 1900’s by Elisabeth the Empress of Austria (known
also as Princess Sissy) It’s located 11,5 kilometers south of
Corfu.
Gouvia – it’s a tourist resort very
popular and it’s located 9 kilometers northwestern of Corfu. The
village has 1,000 permanent residents. Gouvia has beautiful
breaches nearby. At the beach of Gouvia you will see the
dockyards of the Venetian Naval port. There’s also a local feast
that takes place every June, it’s called a (“panighyri”) in
honor of “Aghioi Pantes” ( All Saints) Gouvia offers facilities
for moorings and supply for yachts in the small port that’s in
front of the village.
Chania Crete - Chania old town is a
former fishing village and it has grown into a beautiful city.
It’s built around the Venetian Harbour with numerous picturesque
alleys. In the alleys you will find many shops with
restaurants and a lot of tourists walking around.
Lefkes , Paros - Lefkes is the highest
village on the Island it’s located in the mountains at the
center of the Island. In the middle ages, Lefkes was the capital
of the world. The road to lefkes passes through the ancient
marble quarries at Marathi.
Afandou, Rhodes – It’s the 2nd
largest village after Ialysos and its name means ‘invisible”. It
was given this name because of its location. It’s located behind
a hill away from the beach to keep it “invisible” to pirates.
It’s surrounded by hills it’s only a gentle walk or a short toy,
train ride across the Island’s only fly over, to the beach with
the views across to Tranganou and Kolimbia. It has a population
of 6,500 and a wide variety of activities and attraction for
visitors.
Vothonas village, Santorini – This is a
classic example of rock village. The people dug their house into
rocky walls of a ravine five long. The beauty of this village is
a small church built inside a cave with mills.
